The "vampire
neck lift" uses the patient's own blood platelets
to treat wrinkles and rejuvenate the skin.
Procedure
A tube of the
patient's blood is drawn and then placed in a centrifuge
to separate the platelets from the red blood cells.
The extracted platelets are then activated as they
are injected into the treatment areas. The procedure
triggers the platelet proteins and increases cell
proliferation, leading to increased skin volume. The
skin becomes rejuvenated and wrinkles diminish.
Platelets are
loaded with growth factors for skin and blood vessels
and they produce new collagen without the wounds of
a laser and the risk of scarring. This can be done
anywhere on the body and does not have the "down
time" or restrictions associated with laser treatment.
This procedure can be used in many places around the
body, but is especially impressive when removing neck
wrinkles and skin crepe.
Results
Patients see improvement
in the treatment area after two to three weeks, with
results lasting up to 18 months.
