We provide tattoo removal with the Palomar QYAG (Q-Yag) Laser. This is currently the most efficient laser available for the removal of blue, black or red ink tattoos. It uses brief (7 nanosecond) pulses of light to break the tattoo ink into small particles that the body will absorb.

Previous lasers used longer pulses (30-35 nanosecond) to generate the same power. The longer pulse had a greater risk of scarring than our current generation laser.
